ESSEX NUMBER ONE FAMILY FESTIVAL RETURNS AUGUST 2021

We are delighted to announce that we will be returning to the beautiful grounds Barleylands Farm for the 5th year running! We have gone all out this year with the lineup to bring the VERY best tribute acts from around the world! So join us and celebrate 5 YEARS of the Essex Sausage and Cider Festival! 

COVID-19 POLICY

The great news is that Essex S&C 2021 is officially taking place this August. For everyone's safety please take the time to review the below Covid Policy:

All guests will be required to take an NHS lateral flow test up to 48 hours before arriving at the festival.

We would recommend doing this the night before or the morning of the day you travel to the festival. You can get a free test from a Boots Chemist or by ordering online at https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

Once you have your result please report it via https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result Ask for the results to be sent to you as a text message and show this text message at the festival gates. An email will also be accepted.

This must be a negative result to enter the festival. Anyone under the age of 18 will not need to take a test.

The 90-day policy: If someone has tested positive with a PCR test, they should not be tested using PCR or LFT for 90 days, unless they develop new symptoms during this time, in which case they should be retested immediately using PCR.

This 90 day period is from the initial onset of symptoms or, if asymptomatic when tested, their positive test result. Individuals should use evidence of their positive PCR test to show they are currently exempt from testing. This will allow you entrance into the event but the test result must be no more than 90 days old. The guest must have also completed 10 days of isolation from the date of the positive result.

We are required to check your negative result when you first enter the Festival. There will be no further checks after this.

We have loads of kids entertainment, a wide variety of high-quality food vendors, a wide selection of beverages including our famous cider collection! (We don't just sell cider) Not to mention an incredible lineup of the very best tribute acts.

EXTRA DAY ADDED! (PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING)

On Friday (27th August) before the S&C Festival starts, there is a 90's concert being hosted at Barleylands Farm. The concert will be headlined by the VENGABOYS and supported by other famous 90's acts. These are all original artists and not tribute acts!

We are pleased to announce that you can now camp from the Friday and include the 90's Concert as part of your festival experience. All of the festival features are the same on the Friday, it's just the music policy will be 90s music.

IF, you do not want to come for the extra day then please just select 2 nights camping.

We are extremely pleased to announce that the amazing BOLDDOG FREESTYLE MOTOR X TEAM will be performing at our 2021 festival!

They will be doing shows on both Saturday and Sunday in the main arena. The show features the UK’s top-ranked freestyle motocross riders, incorporating the latest heart-stopping tricks as usually only seen on TV. The team set the standard 12 years ago and now continues to push the boundaries of FMX and lead the way for all motorcycle display teams.

All shows are included in your cost of admission.

We have a wide variety of high-quality food vendors selling food of all types, a wide selection of beverages including our famous cider collection! (We don't just sell sausages and cider). We also support vegan and vegetarian diets.

LUXURY GLAMPING PACKAGES:

Looking for a complete weekend of relaxation? Then leave the tent at home and let us take care of all your accommodation needs. Our packages have been designed to sleep up to 5 people in each tent and include all the luxury comforts needed for any keen festival-goer.

Please note: With all glamping packages, each person staying in the tent will also require a weekend camping entry ticket to attend the festival.

Glamping Terms and Conditions

A £100 damage deposit is payable upon arrival per tent. This amount will be refunded on departure after our team have inspected the tent for any damages. If you find any fault or damages to the tent upon arrival please inform a member of our team immediately or you may be charged. If the damage is more than £100 you will be informed and charged accordingly.

A waiver will need to be signed upon arrival to the event. This will detail the terms and conditions of staying in our glamping village. If you would like to see a copy of this waiver before you arrive please email [email protected]

Any cancellations will be charged at full price, refunds will only be given should the event be cancelled due to fault of our own and where it cannot be rescheduled.

You must not use any of the following inside our tents at any time:

Fires, stoves (including gas stoves), portable heating or similar equipment, kettles, fridges, hair dryers or other high power-intensive equipment.

Smoking is not permitted inside our tents, please use the designated smoking areas.

The consumption of illegal drugs is prohibited on all parts of the site, if found in possession you will be asked to leave the site immediately.

A weekend camping and entry ticket must be purchased per person, without a festival ticket the glamping tickets become invalid.

No Refunds to be given at any time

We are NOT responsible for problems outside of our control.

You must purchase OFFICIAL WEEKEND WITH CAMPING tickets from the festival to use our service. Festival tickets are NOT included in any of the prices below.

Q. Can I bring a picnic into the event arena?

No, unfortunately, NO FOOD OR DRINK CAN BE TAKEN INTO THE EVENT ARENA. With the exception of sealed bottles of WATER and baby food. You're welcome to bring an empty container to fill with free water onsite.

Q. Are there any gluten-free or vegetarian sausages available?

Yes, both will be available.

Q. Will other food be available, not just sausages?

Yes, we will have a variety of food available as well as plenty of sausages.

Q. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There is no age limit to the festival, however, you will require a form of ID to purchase alcohol if you look under 25.

Q. Is there a limit to the amount of alcohol I can take to the event? (CAMPSITE ONLY, PER ADULT)

Alcohol can only be taken into the campsite, no alcohol can be taken into the main arena.

You may bring into the campsite up to:

12 x 440ml cans of lager/cider/beer

OR

12 x 250ml cans of premix spirit drinks

OR

3-liter box of wine

OR

5 liters of cider/lager/beer in plastic bottles or cans

Plastic or glass bottles spirits are not allowed.

All alcohol must be brought with you on arrival to the festival only. There is NO RE-ENTRY with alcohol. For safety reasons, no glass can be brought on site. No opened bottles can be brought on to site – you can bring sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks. Any opened bottles will be confiscated on entry to the festival. Alcohol is for personal consumption only. 18+ only, ID checks may take place upon entry, those found to be under 18 will have alcohol confiscated.

Q. I haven't received my booking confirmation and/or E-ticket, what do I do?

Q. Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can update the information on your order (like name, email address, or answers to the organizer's questions) by clicking your order on the Tickets page.

Q. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, tickets can be downloaded onto any smartphone, however, tickets can be printed out if you do not have a smartphone.

Q. What is the refund policy?

Refunds will only be given if the event is canceled due to the fault of our own and the event cannot be rescheduled.

Q. The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, the information does not need to match the attendee.

Q. What age is a child ticket?

A child's ticket is age 6 - 16, any child under the age of 6 is free and does not require a ticket. All children need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Q. Can I bring my dog?

We're afraid no dogs are allowed on site, with the exception of guide dogs.

Q. Can I bring a Gazebo into the main event field?

NO gazeboes can be bought into the main event field. Umbrellas or a very small tent for children to take shade is permitted. Gazeboes will be stopped at the checkpoints. A Gazebo is permitted in the Campsite ONLY.

Q. How do I enquire about having a trading pitch?

Q. I'm arriving at a different time to my friends, can I save them a camping pitch?

We cannot guarantee pitches can be saved, if you wish to camp next to each other we advise arriving together.

Q. Can I park my car next to my tent?

No, all cars must stay in the car park for safety reasons.

Q. How far is the car park from the campsite?

It's only a few minutes walk. If you have a lot of items to carry we recommend bringing a wheelbarrow/trolly to help.

Q. Is there a charge for the car park?

Yes, car parking is payable on arrival

Q. What can I bring instead of a gas stove?

Coal bbq's and disposable bbq's are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground when in use and fully extinguished after. We also allow Greenheat Base Camp Cooker, solid fuel stoves, firelighters, and firelighter stoves. No gas fueled bbq's or gas camping stoves are permitted.

Q. Can I bring my caravan or campervan along to the event?

Yes, to bring a caravan or campervan along you will need to purchase a weekend camping and entry ticket per person staying in the van, then on top you will need to purchase caravan/cameprvan ticket per van. You are welcome to bring and awning for your van but no separate tents, tents and caravans/campervans must be kept separate. Gas bottles are permitted if fully fitted within the caravan/campervan. No portable gas bottles, canisters or similar are permitted. This also applies to motorhomes and trailer tents.

Q. Are there any electric hookups available?

There are no electrical hook ups at this event.

Q. Can I go visit my friends in the Caravan / Campervan site if I'm camping?

No, general camping are not permitted into the Caravan / Campervan aera.

 

Q. What can't I bring to the event?

No gas bottles, canisters or similar

No gazebos can be bought into the main event field.

No animals

No goods for unauthorized trading

No items which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon

No Chinese/sky lanterns

No drones

No Professional Video Cameras or Recording Equipment

No generators

No glass

No illegal substances, legal highs or herbal highs

No portable laser equipment and pens

Q. What disabled facilities do you have?

We have disabled parking, a disabled campsite and we have disabled toilets in all parts of the site. However, we do not have viewing platforms as the stage can be seen from all parts of the site. Please be aware the event is in a field so can be uneven in places. Cars cannot be taken onto the campsite, however, we have people to help carry your belongings should you need them. Q. Can I camp using a day ticket?

No, to be able to camp at our event you will need to purchase a weekend camping ticket.

Payment plan T&C's - If you have failed to make an installment payment on your payment plan order, in line with our Booking Terms, unfortunately, you are not entitled to a refund. If you cancel your payment plan at any time you will not be entitled to a refund.
